Journal Overview

Current Horticulture (Print ISSN: 2347-7377; Online ISSN: 2455-7560), is a Peer Reviewed and Diamond Open Access Journal published since 2013. The journal is the official publication of the Society for Horticultural Research and Development (SHRD) and is published quarterly (four issues per year).

Current Horticulture publishes high-quality, peer-reviewed research and review articles covering a wide range of topics in horticultural sciences.

Publication Frequency

Current Horticulture is published quarterly, with issues released in March, June, September, and December each year. The journal follows a regular publication schedule to ensure the timely dissemination of high-quality research in horticultural science. All accepted articles are published in the designated issue of the respective volume and are made available online immediately upon publication.

Each published article is assigned a DOI, and all content is made freely available under the CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license.

Author Charges

Current Horticulture does not charge any submission fees or article processing charges (APCs). There are no publication fees at any stage of the editorial or publication process.

 

Aim and Scope

Current Horticulture is an open-access, peer-reviewed journal that considers articles on all aspects of research on Horticultural crops.

  1. Fruit crops
  2. Vegetable crops
  3. Commercial flower crops and ornamentals
  4. Spice crops
  5. Plantation crops
  6. Medicinal and aromatic plants
  7. Protected horticulture
  8. Post-harvest technology, management and processing of horticultural crops

The journal welcomes original research and review articles covering cultivation practices, crop improvement, genetics and genomics, post-harvest technology and management, biotechnology, food science, crop protection, nanotechnology applications, botany, taxonomy, physiology, biochemistry, extension education, and agricultural economics related to horticultural crops.

Indexing and Abstracting

Current Horticulture is indexed and abstracted in the following databases and services:

  1. CAB Abstracts (CAB International)
  2. National Academy of Agricultural Sciences (NAAS), India: NAAS Score: 4.62 (Effective from 1st January 2026)
  3. Google Scholar (h-index = 15)

The journal adheres to internationally accepted publishing standards and follows a transparent peer-review and editorial process.

All published articles are assigned a Digital Object Identifier (DOI) to ensure persistent linking, citation tracking, and long-term accessibility.

The journal continues to apply for inclusion in additional recognized abstracting and indexing databases to enhance global visibility and dissemination of published research.
